We can assist where a grant of probate is required. We will handle the process of dealing with property, money and possessions of someone who has passed away.
To obtain and apply for a grant of probate, Heritage Estate Planning can handle the entire process for you, with ease and understanding.
We will correspond with the Probate Registry, complete and inheritance tax return, and secure an oath for executors.
Once the grant is issued and received, you will be able to manage all the remaining aspects of estate administration yourself.
As well as obtaining the grant of probate, our expert team will deal with the whole process from start to finish to provide peace of mind that your executor duties have been fully completed with no future liability.
See our simple process outlined below.
Identity and tax
Once the will is deemed valid, the first stage is to identify all of the assets belonging to the deceased and all of their liabilities.
This includes the issue of inheritance tax to HMRC if applicable.
This process involves looking at property, possessions, bills, bank accounts, and loans.
Preparation
Once the grant of representation has been issued by the probate registry and all matters are resolved (such as liabilities, administration costs and issues) then the estate accounts can be settled.
The remaining funds will be redistributed to beneficiaries.
These will be approved by the executor identified in the will for approval.
Finalising
if all the previous steps are completed and there are no challenges to the will, we will proceed with distributing the final assets to the right recipients.
